Charlie was ready. Party hat? On. Swiss roll polished? Immaculate. Fondant boots? Laced.

He even practiced his little wave. Not that anyone would see it.

Because the Colin 35th birthday invite? It never came. While Colin posed for selfies, Charlie stood at the door. Carefully chosen gift in hand. Waiting. Hopeful. Humble. Hung up on ‘maybe they sent it to the wrong inbox?’

But they didn’t. And now? He’s eaten the S&V crisp bag meant for sharing. He’s moved past sadness and straight into a soft, sponge based turn around. This isn’t a glow up. It’s a metamorphosis. Charlie’s not just cake. He’s closure. And he’s always ready to celebrate. 🐛🕯️
