📣 Funding Announcement – Young Futures Programme – Healthy Teen Minds Fund 📣

Asda Foundation recognises the importance of supporting teenagers in communities across the UK, with a particular focus on their mental health and wellbeing. This year, we will be providing up to £600,000, via the Healthy Teen Minds Fund, to support teenagers with their development. 🧠 🤗

Grants ranging from £500 to £1,000 are available to help groups who are supporting young people aged 13-18. 🌠

We expect a high demand for this grant and the application window will close when all funding has been allocated.

Lovely to meet up with Emily and Natalie today to donate some tins to the Four Greens Community Trust tin appeal. The Four Greens foodbank are holding an appeal to raise 50,000 tins of food to support people who are experiencing food poverty.

Asda Foundation have launched their first grant of the year, the Young Futures Fund.
This grant is aimed at helping groups who focus on the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 13-18.
The application window opens on Tuesday 6th January 10am and will close on Tuesday 20th January 10am.

Thank you to all who donated items to our gift trolley this year. They have now been collected by our chosen charity, Shekinah, and will hopefully help them in the work they do with the homeless community in our city 💚

Our gift trolley for Shekinah is still in store for the next couple of weeks.
Can we please ask that you ONLY donate items from the list on the table.
These items will be going towards helping and supporting the homeless in our city so items like warm hats, scarves, tracksuits, socks, some hygiene items etc are most needed.
(Can we also please ask that any underwear donated be brand new and still in the packaging)

Our kindness station is now up and running! 😃
Here you will find our donation trollies. One for gifts, and one for food.

This year our gift appeal is supporting Shekinah, specifically their work around homelessness.
All gifts donated to this trolley will go to those experiencing homelessness this Christmas.

Our food donation trolley is, as always, supporting the North Plymouth Food Bank. We are proud to continue our partnership with them not just this Christmas but throughout the year.

You will also find our Cards Of Kindness. Please feel free to take home a card, colour it in and leave a message inside, pop it into the postbox on the table when you are next in store, and we will do the rest. The cards will be delivered to local groups and also our customers throughout December to help spread little words of kindness

We have the lovely people from Provide Devon in store with us today and tomorrow. They are holding a food drive to collect donations of food which will provide much needed help to those experiencing food poverty in our city.
The food drive is taking place 09:30 until 14:30 in our foyer.
Please do donate items from their shopping list if you are able to 💛

🎁🎄WHO WOULD YOU LIKE US TO SUPPORT THIS CHRISTMAS? 🎄🎁

It’s almost time to launch our festive gift appeal trolley again, and we would love the help of the community to help us choose which charity to support.
This years gift appeal is focusing on ‘Loneliness and Isolation’ specifically in the over 60’s.

Do you know of any local charities (must be a registered charity) who specialise in offering support to elderly vulnerable people?
(Cannot be a council or privately owned care home)
