Till and Customer Service.

We are currently looking for people who are interested in becoming volunteers at our shop here in New George Street, Plymouth.

This role has the expectation of using the till, but no experience is required. We will provide full training. We only ask that we can agree on a couple of hours a week that you are able to do (e.g. every Sunday and Monday 10am-2pm).

Typical activities:
• Serving customers at the till.
• Promoting Gift Aid.
• Assisting customers with any queries they may have.
• Ensuring the shop floor is tidy and inviting.

Do you have a couple hours a week free? Are you in school/college and looking for a productive way to spend your off days/weekends? Do you want to gain retail experience to make your CV look even better?

The minimum age for this role is 15. Parental consent required if under 18.

Puzzle and Games sorter.

We are currently looking for a Puzzle and Games volunteer here at our British Red Cross shop in New George Street, Plymouth.

There is no experience required for this role, we will teach you all you need to know.

Do you want a role that you can do either at the shop, or in your own home? This role is hybrid, which means you are able to work both from the shop and your home.

Typical activities in this role:
With this role, you will be making sure that puzzles and/or games have all the correct pieces in them, and then marking them as complete and putting them out for sale.

There is no expectation to use a till or computer in this role.

Display and Merchandising opportunity.

We are currently looking for volunteers. If you have a couple of hours a week and are keen on making pretty displays, merchandising stock and making the windows look appealing, this might just be the opportunity for you.

Typical activities in this role:
• Dressing the mannequins in line with themes/seasons (e.g. valentines, pride, Halloween, summer, winter, etc).
• Organising items and displays that are out on the shop floor.
• Ensuring the shop floor is tidy and inviting, presented nicely and following our standards.

There is no expectation to use a till or computer in this role, and there is no experience required. We only ask that we can agree on hours that you can do (e.g. Saturdays 11am-3pm).

E-Commerce volunteers.

We are looking for people who can spare a couple of hours a week, getting our valuable items processed and sent to our eBay team.

This role does involve using a computer, but it will be the one that is in the shop. You will not need to bring your own. This is also a sit down role, so there won't be any prolonged standing.

This role is done at our shop here in New George Street, Plymouth. We ask that we can agree hours that you are able to do (e.g. every Thursday 2pm-5pm).

What a typical day is like for an E-Commerce volunteer in our shop:
• Research donated items to find their value.
• Put the item details into our e-commerce system to be listed.
• Package and send the items to our e-commerce team.
• Identify items in the shop which would be better suited selling through e-commerce.
