Blue Hill Flora We are a small cut flower farm based at Brynglas Farm just outside Pontardawe South Wales.

We grow beautiful seasonal cut flowers for florists and the public, providing bouquets and running workshops.

Happy British flowers week!
Yup I completely forgot 😅
Here’s so of the gorgeous flower I was cutting last week. These ones were headed for my drying rack. The larkspur have been incredible so far this year. Last year they were annihilated by slugs and I didn’t get a single stem. The challenges of working with the British weather and wildlife. If im honest I think it’s part of the reason I don’t think I’ll ever get bored or loose my love for doing this job. Every year, every season, every week is different. If it all goes south then there is always next year to try again!
I already have notes and plans for next year blooms.

I finally got round to editing the footage of putting together this beautiful heart wreath.
Fully compostable it’s made up of a willow and moss based and everything is attached using non galvanised wire so it will eventually rust down.
The plaque is timber, attached with twine and hand painted by me.

Team work makes the dream work.
I had 16 of these cute bunches to put together for .rhiannon which went so much quicker with mum helping to lay out all the ingredients for me to put together. They were full of colour and scent ready for a charity workshop Rhiannon is running.
I love this job so much and couldn’t do it without the support of my family or you my customers. So thank you for keeping my hands in the dirt and making flowers. Thank you for supporting me and my family.

I’ve tried to post this reel all week 🙈 third time lucky!
What a wonderful weekend full of flowers!
A super busy Uplands market, thank you again for all your amazing support.
Then a fab workshop teaming up with Rhiannon Collins Art. We got lucky with the weather and everyone went home with a big vase full of flowers and a beautiful piece of unique artwork.
We had such a great time we are already planning it again for next year. Would you like to come next year?

It’s Friday, it’s Uplands Market prep day, it’s hot and the field is giving me some stunning flowers.

Another abundant luxury birthday bouquet headed out to its new home today. With more of our gorgeous coral charm peonies tucked in it. They are almost as big as my head when they open fully and fade to the most beautiful soft peach colour. If you love peonies or know someone who does pretty much all our bouquets will have peonies in over the next couple of weeks!

Allium Eros is all its glory. It’s not the tallest but I love its soft pink colour and it’s just tall enough for bouquet work. The bees adore it to. I’ve already made a note that I need more alliums for next year. Especially white ones. Let@mw know your favourites on the comments so I can add them to my ever growing to buy list 🙈
