Lovely to see everyone there! just gotten home to Yorkshire stunning day out.

All went to plan apart from my sat nav taking me through the NEC and not down to the next roundabout where the National Motor cycle museum is!

Instead diverted me through Birmingham NEC and where Crufts is being held...attempting to get out I was stuck behind two Irish Wolf Hounds and a few West Highland Whites!! Mental anyhow aiming to do quarterly now with Andy....šŸ»

Super coin here!! a fab Anglo-Galic Henry VI gold hammered coin known as a Salut d'Or.

Minted in Rouen during the reign of King Henry VI (1422-1461) The obverse depicts the Virgin Mary and the Archangel Gabriel above the French and English shields. On the reverse depicts a Latin cross with a lis to the left and a lion to the right

♔♔Sold♔♔ at the website folks is this fabulous Charles I, halfcrown, Tower mint, under Parliament (1642-1649), group III, type 3A1, mm. tun, early horseman. King wears long scarf about his waist and horse is large. l., reads MAG BRI FRA ET HIB REX, rev. oval garnished shield of arms (S.2771; N.2209), - very fine -with a fine portrait now toning. Weight 15.00 grams.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Charles by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland" and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ."

comparable to Davissons, Auction 43, Lot 213 which hammered £781.00.

Charles I Charles I, half crown, Tower mint, under Parliament (1625-1649), group III, mm. sun/eye/sun, crowned figure of king on horseback l., reads MAG BRI FRA ET HIB REX, rev. oval garnished shield of arms (S.2778; N.2213), excellent portrait, well struck - weight 15.3 grams

Ex BMC 2010 4137 - graded VF to near EF.

George III (1760-1820), Taylor Workshop, London, Restrike Proof Penny, 1807, in bronzed-copper, draped bust right with wreath of 11 leaves, no hair curl to right of tie-knot, brooch of 9 jewels, k Ā· on lowest fold of striated shoulder drapery, rev. Britannia seated left on rock, double horizontal line below her left hand, olive branch with 11 leaves and 3 berries, k and soho below, ship with no gunports, edge plain, 17.62g/6h (BMC 1354 [R 98]; ā€˜Selig’ 1312, this coin; Adams 72; S 3780).
