We plan to close a little earlier today at about 3.30. But if we have melted into squishy butter prior to that we will keep you posted.

Restock in today of squishy butter, dumplings, burgers and more, and no we are not a food shop. Squishy toys continue to be one of the most sought after hits of 26 so far. As for Nee Doh’s they hit our shelves and are gone in a couple of hours. We hope to have a restock of these second week of July but will keep you posted

Look what’s just arrived late on a Saturday afternoon (just in time for a very last minute Father’s Day gift) Pokemon Chaos Rising booster packs £4.50 each. We are open til 5pm today so you can pick up all your Fathers Day gifts and cards for tomorrow. Hurry whilst stocks last. We have a limit of 4 packs per customer to make sure we spread as much happiness as possible.

Today is a great day to visit Pontypridd Town. There is the ‘armed forces picnic in the park’ from 12pm to 4pm with live musical performances and activities for the kiddies. Don’t forget to make time to visit the rather excellent The Market Quarter There’s lots of fresh produce, cafes and stalls to see and the children won’t mind either as there’s also a sweet shop, welsh cake shop and of course our toy shop. But whatever you do today don’t forget Daddy, Hubby and your other special men; pick up your Father’s Day cards and gifts ready for tomorrow here at Sugar and Spice.

We are super excited for the release of Toy Story 5 tomorrow 17th June. We remember when the original Toy Story was released in 1995, it was almost impossible to source toys. The reason - none of the big toy manufacturers such as Mattel and Hasbro were willing to take the risk, on a computer animated film. Leaving Disney to give the contact to Thinkway toys, a small firm from Canada, unfortunately they could not keep up with demand. So when the video came out the following year and everyone wanted Buzz in Christmas of 1996, it was just impossible. Disney and Mattel lost out on a huge opportunity. I mean who knew a film about toys would be popular with children 😜
But we are ready this time
