Last few days of Purbeck Arts Week. We have been blessed with lots of visitors to The Shoot Room in East Lulworth.

Venue 26 open 10 to 4, last day on Sunday.

And into the ocean I went, well Lulworth Cove, but not for long as I forgot my swim boots and gloves, but nit until I had a lovely breakfast with Mandy from where we chatted about life, future plans and she showed me how ChatGpt works

It’s March which means is

My name is Sophie and I am a mother of two young adults, owned by a dog and two cats, and in real life I work for

In a previous life I made and sold candles but as my children got more independent I fell out of love with making them and a chance encounter with has led to a love of block printing which has helped calm my brain and slowing me down and has also helped with being able to focus better in other activities. I have started to run workshops and sell at events and on Etsy.

I also have a love of sea swimming all year round, reading and having a go at other crafts, some more successfully than others.

After losing my husband to cancer 8 years ago I had rediscovered my love of travelling and adventure, Carpe Diem and all that

Come and spend a creative day of wreath making and festive block printing on fabric with myself and Catherine from at The Weld Arms in East Lulworth.

Catherine will guide you in making a glorious Christmas wreath while you will have the option of block printing a Christmas gift or Japanese Furoshiki (cloth wrapping paper)

It’s the start of a new week and what a glorious start to it walking Dave. I love the mornings this time of year, when it’s not raining, with the mist and the sun just getting through.

I have some nice plans this week, swimming, of course, lunch with Catherine from to check out a space for a Christmas workshop day, supper with friends from Australia while trying not to hyperventilate about an 18th birthday party being held at home and an extra day off for annual leave.
