Fresh live Teignmouth mussels in today. Plump, sweet, and some of the best mussels around.

Steam them open with white wine, garlic and a bit of butter, bread on the side for the juice.

Come in before they're all gone. Tuesday to Friday 8 til 3, weekends 8 til 12.

Some of what's on our counter came off boats that landed here in Poole.

We buy straight from the local fishermen, the ones who know these waters and bring their catch in fresh. That's the part of the trade that hasn't changed in five generations.

No middleman deciding what you get, just what the sea gave up that day and who was out to catch it.
