THAMES MMXX. and the estate of Francis Bacon have again proudly collaborated on a series of skateboard decks, this time featuring isolated pictures from triptych studies of three characters close to the artist:
George Dyer (1964), a longtime and tempestuous lover.
8.125” x 31.7”
Muriel Belcher (1966), the proprietress of The Colony Room Club, a favourite watering hole of his and countless other artists of the era.
8.25” x 31.5”
Jean-Pierre Moueix (1980), a visionary viticulturist and wine merchant.
8.5” x 32.0”
Foil-print collages of the detritus that Bacon surrounded himself with at 7 Reece Mews adorn the decks’ topsides.
