The Dolphin Cycle Hub opens on Monday 27th February! 🚴 We're inviting all cycle fanatics to celebrate Dorset's first secure public cycle with us.

Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets (LGIM) partners with BCP Council, funded through their ‘Active Travel Fund’, which promotes greener, healthier, better-connected travel options. Thanks to Spokesafe, The Dolphin Cycle Hub offers 24-hour access for members, affordable storage options and secure parking for up to 34 bikes, cargo bikes and non-standard cycles.

Between 10:00 - 14:00, you can see the new unit for yourself and take part in practical sessions.

🚲 The Dorset Police Neighbourhood Team will guide bike security support including free bike tagging for attendees.

🚲 Cycle Paths will offer a free bike safety check and will undertake minor repairs or adjustments where possible.

We're excited to see the changes it'll make in your lives and how it'll be a positive impact on our environment and wellbeing! Who's coming to the big launch? 🙌

The location is by the entrance next to Primark.

Here are our 3 top reasons to use clipless pedals on your mountain or road bike!

1. Efficiency. With your feet attached to the bike, more energy is transferred to each pedal, getting you up those hills faster!

2. Power. Clipless pedals let you apply power on the upstroke just as much as your push down, creating a smooth and consistent cycling.

3. Control. You can use the pedals to pull the bike up over curbs, potholes or logs on trails. Nearly all clipless pedals offer float and tension adjustment, allowing you to move your feet as much or as little to ensure that you don't injure your knees having them locked into one fixed position.
