ALTERNATIVE FUND ENERGY SCHEMES
Alternative Fuel Payment Alternative Fund (AFP AF) amount of payment £200
Anyone who uses solid fuel to heat their whole property and does have electricity in their home but have not yet received confirmation from their electricity supplier that they will receive the £200 AFP can apply for payment please visit https://www.gov.uk/get-help-energy-bills/alternative-fuels Only use this application if you have not been advised by your electricity company that you will receive the AFP amount in due course. Only one payment of £200 will be made per household.
Those consumers who do have an electricity supplier should already have received the original electricity portion as part of the Energy Bills Support Scheme. Once the £200 is received from the AFP this will put them in line with others in the country who received a total of £400 as users of electricity and gas. So solid fuel users in this case will have received £400 in total as users of electricity and solid fuel.
Energy Bills Support Scheme Alternative Funding (EBSS AF) amount of payment £400
Eligible households who use solid fuel for their whole property heating and don’t have a domestic electricity connection can apply for the above funding of £400 which will bring them in line with others in the country who were eligible because they use gas and electricity to heat their homes. Please visit https://www.gov.uk/get-help-energy-bills/offgrid-park-mobile-care-home
*Please note if you haven’t received any confirmation that you are an eligible solid fuel user it may be that if your property has a gas supply which you do not use to heat your whole property and instead use solid fuel to heat your home you may have slipped through the net. If you think that is the case then please apply to the relevant scheme above.
