🐝 You might remember the bees we shared last week who had outgrown their old hive…

Well, they’ve now been moved into a new one and they’re settling in really well 🍯✨

🐝 We’ve been upgrading our ACC Liverpool apiary and it’s one of our favourite sites to visit.

We love that people can stop, chat to us, and see the bees up close while we inspect the hives, it’s such a great way to connect more people with beekeeping.

Back in 2024, we established 3 new hives here (around 140,000 bees!) as part of ACC Liverpool’s wider sustainability initiatives and it’s amazing to see how well they’re thriving 🐝🍯

We’re looking forward to being at Port Sunlight Village Market this Sunday!

This month’s market coincides with the annual Port Sunlight Race, so the village is expected to be buzzing with thousands of visitors and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

If you’re coming along, please allow extra travel time as some road closures will be in place for the race. Access to the market at The Stables remains available, and travelling by train is recommended where possible.

Come and enjoy a great day of shopping, food, entertainment, and community spirit, and don’t forget to stop by and say hello!

🐝 Recently we safely removed a large bumblebee nest from a shed and rehomed it 🌿

If you have an active nest, feel free to get in touch at [email protected] (email is best as we’re not always on Messenger).

At this time of year, bees are very active. If they’re bumblebees and not causing an issue, it’s often best to leave them be, they’ll usually move on naturally as the season changes.

If you do have a nest less active, remember to block up any gaps to stop them returning, and you can deter them with strong scents like cinnamon or mint.

Please avoid spraying or harming them , they’re vital pollinators and just getting on with their work 🐝💛
