I've been living in Portishead, on & off, since 1992; so many changes & developments have happened.... I was recently asked to put some work in an exhibition for Portishead Salt Marshes Saltmarshes event to promote the nature reserve & it's wildlife. I decided to use a seagull, they are such a robust, distinctive bird.
I understand why people don't like them but Herring Gulls are sadly threatened with extinction & what would a seaside be like without these noisy squawking fellows... To my annoyance they land on my roof & smash mussels noisily overhead, but I try to remember they're just sorting their supper :)
Each tote has been drawn and carved into linoleum and hand printed by me using non toxic water based ink, with some painted details, on a Carribean Cruiser on Portishead marina. The bags are strong and durable, a good quality long handle 100% Eco Cotton Shopper. Made from 100 % Cotton with an Eco friendly raw natural finish.
As I individually print all my items, there are very small variations between the print. But that is what makes them all original and individual!

Arrives in recycled/biodegradable packaging, completely plastic free.
