Domestic Appliance/White Good Engineer covering Brighton/Hove, Sussex and Kent
Previous experience is essential. In this key role, you will ensure domestic appliances are repaired and serviced in line with our high standards and health and safety regulations.
As a representative of the company, you will be responsible for offering a comprehensive and efficient service to our customers. Using your initiative and flexible, proactive approach are essential for this role.
Salary dependant on experience: Additional for Gas Safe & F Gas qualifications
-28 days holiday rising by 1 extra day per year of service to a maximum of 33

Field-based, Mon to Fri 40 hours, no weekends
Reporting to the service manager
Key responsibilities include;
- Attend up to 10 calls a day depending on area/jobs.
- Ensure that all paperwork is up to date.
- Inspect job sheets closely to identify key parts that may be required to complete calls.
- Ensure that van stock is always up to date.
- Ensure your vehicle supplied is clean and presentable to endorse the company image and conduct routine maintenance checks.
- Follow the pre-planned daily routine.
- Aim to be at your first call by 8:30am at the latest each day depending on the distance.
- Order any parts required from the customer's house using your tablet.
- Clean up any mess caused by the work carried out at the customer's property.
- Ensure that work is of a high standard to encourage repeat business.
- Aim to complete as many jobs as possible on the first visit.
- Telephone the office on completion of the daily calls.
- Always promote a good image to customers and wear company uniform at all times.
- Be polite and courteous to all customers.
- Encourage good teamwork.
Competencies
- Previously trained to work on domestic appliances. Qualified and competent to test electrical appliances for compliance with current legislation
- Sound geographical knowledge of the area.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time management and organization.
- Methodical and accurate in the handling of paperwork.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to take responsibility.
- Ambitious individual possessing initiative.
