I still think about this stunning piece of yew, even now, a year after sale.

My favourite piece, hours spent painstakingly chiselling away to ensure the preservation of the young shoot growing in the centre void. De-barked & De-mudded the wood was ready to be sanded, and boxed.

Carefully layering food-grade epoxy resin in blues and whites, to mimic a waterfall hitting the rocks below, and finishing with 8 layers of clear resin.
A birds eye view down into the canyon.

The sides a matt black with a slight copper shimmer to enhance the copper grain of the Yew tree.

A whole heap of work and challenge, but a whole lot of fun.

A table is what was decided for it's fate. The Mrs thought it should have been art on the wall.

What do you think? Table or Art?
