A Royal Navy officer’s sword from the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. ⚓

Made by Wilkinson Sword Ltd in London, this later version of the traditional 1827 Pattern retains many of the classic details associated with Royal Navy officers’ swords.

The 79 cm blade is extensively etched with naval and royal decoration, including a crowned fouled anchor, the Royal Arms and the crowned ERII cypher. The gilt brass hilt features a lion’s-head pommel and white shagreen grip, with the original gold and dark-blue bullion sword knot still attached.

The sword is also complete with its original black leather scabbard with gilt brass fittings.

A beautiful example of a British naval tradition that continued well into the twentieth century.

Five signs, five different designs, all part of Britain’s WWII Home Front history. 🇬🇧

These original ARP Air Raid Warden plaques were once used to identify Air Raid Wardens and Warden Posts. Made from a variety of materials, including brass, steel, cast alloy and Bakelite, each has survived with its own signs of age and use.

During WWII, ARP Wardens played an important role in their local communities. They helped enforce blackout regulations, directed people to shelters during air raids, reported bomb damage and assisted the emergency services.

Today, these plaques are small reminders of the organisation that took place on streets across Britain during the war.

Look at the detail on these century-old Tibetan prayer wheels.

Beautifully decorated with intricate filigree work, turquoise and coral stones, each prayer wheel holds something special inside.

What did a soldier actually carry with him during WWII?

Life in the field required much more than weapons and am******on. Soldiers needed practical equipment for eating, personal care, navigation, observation and communication.

Our 1943-dated Pattern 1937 small pack still contains many of those everyday essentials, including mess tins and utensils, a service mug, shaving equipment, a toothbrush, mirror, comb and even a soldier’s sewing kit.

Alongside it, a 1944 Pattern 1937 map case still holds eight unused Army message forms printed in 1941, while a pair of 1930s–40s Japanese Kokko 8×30 binoculars sits in a British Pattern 1937 military case.

These objects offer a fascinating look at the practical side of wartime life and the things soldiers depended on every day.

The Bren story didn’t end with WWII.

As Britain moved into the Cold War and NATO standardised am******on, wartime Bren guns were converted from .303 British to 7.62×51mm NATO and redesignated as the L4.

The conversion gave the Bren a new chapter in British service, with changes including a new barrel, bolt and the distinctive straight magazine. Many former soldiers still remember carrying and using the L4 decades after the original Bren first entered service.

This is a very cool piece of British casino history. 🃏

Dating from around the 1960s–80s, this professional casino dealer’s card shoe comes with original Pl***oy-branded playing cards and their A.B.P. (Casino Supplies) Ltd. London case.

The cards have distinctive Pl***oy artwork, including specially illustrated aces and Joker, while the clear acrylic shoe is a genuine professional-style piece of casino equipment.

The combination makes this an unusual survivor from the era when Pl***oy was a major name in London’s casino scene.

A clipper ship at sea, captured in the distinctive textured style of British artist David Deakins. ⛵

Known for his seascapes and sailing boats, Deakins uses a palette knife to create texture and movement in his oil paintings.

A detailed, one-off model of one of the most remembered battleships in US naval history: USS Arizona (BB-39).

This scratch-built model shows the Pennsylvania-class battleship as she appeared in 1941. Made primarily from lightweight wood, it measures 43 cm long and includes plenty of carefully made details across the deck and superstructure.

USS Arizona was commissioned in 1916 and served with the US Navy for more than two decades. On 7 December 1941, she was sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor, with the loss of 1,177 officers and crewmen. Her wreck remains at Pearl Harbor today, beneath the USS Arizona Memorial.

A fascinating handmade model for anyone interested in naval history, military models or WWII.
