Getting a fresh pair of eyes on your Etsy shop is genuinely one of the better things I've done for the business.

Getting that report back on your birthday while sitting on a park bench waiting for swimming lessons to start is a very specific kind of chaos I did not predict. Apparently even my birthday is not a good enough reason to miss a swimming lesson 😂

Edits, then a Chinese, then back to packing shapes. Long gone are the days of birthday cocktails.

I'm not sad about it. I'm a little bit sad about it. 😂

She rode Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin so many times they actually asked if she wanted to stay on. The Priority Pass queue manager had nobody waiting so just... offered. That is the most chaotic Pixie Dust I have ever witnessed.

So naturally I made her pyjamas about it.

Then a second pair designed to look like one of those 'I'm celebrating' Disney badges, so she can wear them in the hotel and probably the parks as well knowing her. And yes, I am already planning a hoodie. And yes, she has already announced she is spending her birthday entirely in World of Frozen in her Spirit Elsa dress. I am just the costume department.

Pyjamas start at £11.50 if yours has similarly strong opinions about their wardrobe.

Nearly running out of fuel near Guildford last time taught me a very important lesson.

So before we leave Norfolk today, I'm filling up first. No arguments.

It's been a lovely few days but Portsmouth is unfortunately calling. Once I'm home and rested, tomorrow will be plaster shapes, soaps on the telly, and birthday cake. Someone was kind enough to make it for me and I cannot wait. 🎂

Paused the packing today so me and Little Pickle could pop round to her bestie's house one last time before they move back to Scotland 🥺

Cue an afternoon of cake, giggles and an impromptu water fight - as it should be really

There were a few tears when it was time to leave, until I reminded her they'll actually be seeing each other again on Wednesday... in Norfolk of all places 😂 that soon cheered her right up

Little friendships are just the sweetest thing to watch, aren't they 🩷

(Back to reality when we got home though - finished packing orders and got tomorrow's collection booked. My brother's on hand-over duty as I'm helping my niece with something, which conveniently means Little Pickle gets a bonus cousin day too 😂)

Just a little reminder before I disappear off on our travels.

Me and Little Pickle are off on our regular trip to Norfolk to see her bestie, so The Crafty Nook will be closed from Tuesday 4th August until Monday 10th August 🩷

My last post collection before I go will be Monday 3rd August, and that'll cover orders needed for anywhere between the 10th and 16th August!

We're actually home on the 8th, but I'm giving myself a couple of days to recover from the drive before touching anything crafty 😅 I'm back to work properly on the 10th (yes, on my actual birthday, don't ask 🎂😂) and the first post collection after we're back will be Tuesday 11th August.

Thank you all as always for your patience, I promise I'll come back with all the Norfolk sunshine and none of the drive-home grumpiness 😂

You learn something new everyday!

Apparently the average person only goes to Disney 3.5 times in their whole life.

Meanwhile me: 6 trips to Walt Disney World, 2 to Disneyland Paris (soon to be 3 in Feb) 😂

So basically I've nearly TRIPLED the average in my 40 years on this planet. I think we can safely say I have a problem and it's called Disney 😂

Little Pickle raided my spare shapes rack again today 😂

Little context - near the school holidays I always mould a few extra shapes on purpose, just so there's always something on the rack for her to nick and turn into her own little works of art while I'm packing orders

Meanwhile I've officially run out of bubble wrap for my last 3 orders so that's a Morrisons trip sorted for after swimming later 😅 the glamorous life of a small business owner right here
