🚌💭 Co-Production Fun & Accessible Travel! 💭🚌

Another busy day for our Co-Production Reps! 💜

Today we started with a fun wordsearch to get our brains working 🧠🔎 before moving on to some important questions about travelling and using the bus

We then had a really interesting discussion about feeling overwhelmed when travelling. The group shared their own ideas about what might help someone feel calmer and safer, including:

🌬️ Taking a deep breath
🎧 Listening to music
💭 Thinking about somewhere that makes you feel safe
🙋 Asking someone for help
🚌 Getting off at the next stop if you need a break

The group also created some brilliant pictures and ideas to help make this information visual and accessible for people who may find reading difficult ❤️

It has been a busy few weeks for our Co-Production Reps, and they continue to use their lived experience and voices to help make services more accessible and inclusive for everyone

This week, our Make & Dynamite groups were joined by Sarah from the Elections Team at Portsmouth City Council to discuss the Polling Station Review

Together, we had some fantastic conversations about what makes a good polling station, including:

🗳️ Accessibility for everyone
🚪 The space needed inside and outside the venue
♿ Easy access for people with different needs
🧭 Clear layouts and signage
💬 What people need to feel confident and included when voting

Everyone got involved, shared their experiences, and provided some brilliant ideas and feedback that will help shape more accessible polling stations across Portsmouth

A huge well done to everyone who took part, your voices and lived experiences are making a real difference! 👏💜

🎤🎶 A huge thank you to Marky DJ for hosting such a fantastic afternoon at MAKE!

I think it's safe to say everyone had an amazing time and we're pretty sure our ears are still ringing! 😄🎵

It was wonderful to see both the MAKE and Dynamite groups singing, dancing, laughing and enjoying themselves together. Thank you, Marky DJ, for bringing so much energy, fun and smiles to everyone's day
