Today for a whole week we’ve lovely local makers joining us for live craft demonstrations! Today we have Muriel from Skylark Stitches with her sewing machine, please pop along to say hello! 🧵
We have free entry into a prize draw for all of our customers who spend over £20 and 10% of our sales this week will be donated to the local Deveron & District Marie Curie Cancer Care branch 🌼
A little shout out also to our artist friend Marion Boddy-Evans who is participating in her first NEOS in her studio along the street from us. She has a shop filled with her wonderful art which is well worth a visit! 🖼️

⭐️ NEW! ⭐️
We are excited to offer a stunning collection of prints and cards featuring the picturesque locations of Portsoy, Sandend, Findochy, and Buckie, created by the talented Nairn-based artists, Alex and Susan Webster aka Artscenescotland 🎨
Both graduates of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, they specialise in Illustration and have had diverse backgrounds, including freelance work for DC Thomson and careers in education. Now residing in Nairn, they draw inspiration from the breathtaking Highlands of Scotland.
Over the years, they have completed numerous commissions, ranging from landscapes and seascapes to portraits. Alex, an avid golfer, has also painted many golf courses, while Susan, a passionate cold water swimmer, has captured the sea's beauty in her artwork. Currently, they primarily work with acrylics and oils.
We have a lovely selection of their prints, cards & fridge magnets in stock.

Did you know that The Portsoy Gift Box once operated as a charming little bookshop named “Bookends,” owned by a wonderful lady called Wilma? I fondly recall visiting and being amazed by the diverse selection of books she offered. Sadly, Wilma has since passed away, and her daughter Lisa (who was the most incredibly supportive landlady!) eventually sold the shop to me.
It therefore feels meaningful to honor the shop’s history with a dedicated book corner that reflects its past. We proudly feature a variety of books, including children’s stories, travel guides, cookbooks, craft kits, and journals! Today, we’ve added a delightful selection of novels by Scottish author Lin Anderson, perfect for a cosy evening read! 📚
