✨Customer Spotlight✨

I absolutely love it when customers share what they've made, and Dawn has just sent me this photo of her gorgeous circus cushion using our Michael Miller's ‘A Night at the Circus’ fabric – isn’t it fantastic! 🎪

And here's the part that makes this even more impressive - Dawn has only been sewing for six months. I think she’s a natural!

Those four circus panels - the zebra, the big top carriage, the ringmaster with his lion, and the performing sea lions - are perfectly framed as individual blocks, and the result is just brilliant. Dawn, you've made this fabric look exactly as wonderful as it deserves to!

Who remembers those fun little paper cut-out dolls (I had mine in the early 1980s)? If you do, this one will certainly bring back memories!

It’s the Riley Blake ‘Sew America Navy Scout Paper Doll’ fabric by J. Wecker Frisch. An off-white cotton printed with vintage-style paper dolls, complete with little sailor outfits, clothing cut-outs, and a wonderfully nostalgic feel.

I'm a bit gutted to be honest. I ordered this Riley Blake fabric - Egg Hunt by J. Wecker Frisch - with Easter 2026 firmly in mind… it arrived this week 😭

So, the timing isn't quite what I'd planned, but the fabric is so lovely that I didn't want to just tuck it away until next year. It's genuinely one of the quirkiest prints I've come across recently - illustrated pastel-coloured eggs with little faces, Victorian-style typography, cracked shells - all on a crisp white background. It's charming and a little bit odd, in the best possible way!

Because it's missed its seasonal moment, I'm pricing it at £6 per half metre for a short time, rather than the usual £9.50. It's brand-new stock, just a little late to arrive.

It would make any number of lovely projects where you want something quirky and vintage.

We love pets at Fabric Yard - big or small, furry, feathered or smooth! Although I must admit I'm not that keen on spiders 😬 maybe I'm yet to meet one I get on with?
