As specifiers, we focus on the documents that prove compliance. Request these three checkpoints for valves in petrochemical and water projects:
1) Material & Pressure Compliance — mill/test certificates (EN 10204 3.1/3.2), pressure ratings, and traceability to raw material batches. Ask: “Can you supply 3.1/3.2 certificates and batch traceability?”
2) Functional & Fire Safety — API/BS/EN actuator and fire-safe certifications (e.g., API 607, ISO 10497), seat leakage class, and proof of fire testing. Ask: “Provide fire-safe test reports and seat leakage verification.”
3) Quality System & Inspection — ISO 9001, welding qualifications (EN 287/ISO 9606), NDT reports (MPI/UT/RT), and third‑party inspection records. Ask: “Share ISO 9001 evidence, welding certs, and NDT/inspection reports.”
How we support compliance: we manufacture in the UK and control our supply chain. We hold material certificates, perform NDT and in-house functional testing, and maintain supplier audits and batch traceability. That reduces vendor risk for project engineers and compliance officers.
