Good morning lovely Loobyloomers ☀️. We’ve got beautiful sunshine here in Sussex today, which is so wonderful for a change! I’m busy sorting out my stock, getting ready for the Hurstpierpoint Christmas market this weekend. Please do come and say hello, and perhaps treat someone to a gorgeous handwoven gift this year🎅🏻🎄 (don’t forget to treat yourself too!) There will be a wide variety of festive stalls, including Shikoba Art, and coffee and cake will be available 😃. Thank you so much for visiting my page, I always appreciate it ❤️.

Hi everyone 👋. I have just been weaving a scarf for an upcoming Christmas Market in Hurstpierpoint at the end of the month, and thought pop in to say hello, and that I’m still here, doing bits of weaving when I am able, and seem to have concentrated on more complex designs, mainly in tea/hand towels recently. I was a more than a bit surprised when I realised I only had a couple of my scarves left in stock, hence my current weave 😳! I’m so sorry I haven’t posted for so long, I honestly don’t know where the year has gone. Although I try to do what I can, I have also neglected my website, and have a quite a few items to put on, but I will probably wait until after the market now, just so I have something to display 😂! Thanks so much for popping by, and please consider giving a unique handwoven gift from Looby Loom this Christmas 🎄. ###

Hi everyone 👋. I hope you’re all keeping well and warm 🥰. Just to let you know that Looby Loom is now closed for Christmas, and will reopen in January. As always, thank you so much for all your enthusiasm and support for my weaving adventures, which hopefully will continue to flourish in 2025. Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well, and enjoying the summer weather at last! I’ve been taking things slowly, and although finished weaving them a few weeks ago, I put the final finishing touches to these two super special bath mats today 😊. They are double sided, which I hope you can see in the first photo, and are woven in the ‘Summer and Winter’ structure, which was commonly used for quilts , especially in the U.S, in the 19th century. In this structure the back is reverse colours of the front, and was mainly woven in two colours, one light, one dark. So the lighter side of the quilt was used during the summer, and it was flipped over to the darker side for the winter, hence the name! This was the first time I’d tried it, and it really took a lot of concentration 🤪! These already have a home, I will be making more, but not just yet 😆. Hello lovely Loobyloomers 👋! Well the seasons seem to pass like days, and here we are in Summer (or is it 🌧️🤔?!). I’m still here and weaving, albeit rather slowly 🙈, but I’ve finally got some kitchen/tea towels to show you! These are called ‘English Summer’, with the sun, light cloud and rain clouds all in evidence! They were a commission, but I wove a couple extra to pop in my shop, and they will be added to my website loobyloom.co.uk tomorrow 😊. These handwoven towels are designed and made by me, and make delightful and unusual gifts (or why not treat yourself!). Made from 100% cotton, they measure approximately 21” x 16”, and can be machine washed at 30 degrees. £16 each plus P&P (Uk only). Please message me to purchase, or with any questions. Hi lovely Loobyloomers 🥰. I’m sorry I haven’t been around much, I’m still here, but due to ongoing health issues, am taking things super easy. I’ve only done two weaves since August, and am currently just playing, making a few towels for gifts. I’m still coming to grips with my new floor loom, but I do really love it! These are some towels I made on it recently, and I think they’ve turned out really well 😊. The sun is peeping out today, and the sheep have been moved to the field in front of my house to lamb, so spring is definitely on its way now! I hope you all have a happy Easter, and I will pop in again very soon 🥰❤️xx

Good evening 🥰! Omg I’m such an idiot 😬!! I reopened my website on 2nd Jan, but have just realised that I omitted to save the new setting, so it’s been showing that it’s still closed for Christmas 🙈. Hopefully it’s all up and running properly again now, so sorry if you’ve been trying to access it! As you can see from the photo, I’ve wound a warp ready to go on my David floor loom, and now I can’t wait to have a play with it 😊.
