Look who we are hosting at Winter Gardens Blackpool in October😍 It's none other than acclaimed British actor and children's author HUGH BONNEVILLE!!!!

Hugh is well known for his many TV and movie roles including the Earl of Grantham in Downton Abbey and, of course, the voice of Mr. Brown in Paddington. He now writes for children, with "Rory Sparkes and the Elephant in the Room" released in 2025, and a second book in the series, "Rory Sparkes and the Spy Who Loved Tea" out in October 2026.

Our girls are off to Uni!! Today is the last day we’ll all be working together at BBI 😭

Oh my word we’ll miss them! They are great girls 😊 they work hard and bring lots of fun and laughter to the team, they keep us “oldies” on our toes and we couldn’t be more proud of them 😍

Evie and Alyssa will still be working with us one day a week 🙌 and you’ll also see our Harry from time to time too!! We hope to see Bella and Sophie during the holidays 🤗

✨ GRUFFALO GRANNY IS HERE!!

Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler’s much anticipated third picture book is in the shop!! The first new Gruffalo story in over 20 years and we couldn’t be more excited 😍

Say hello to Granny as she pays a visit to the Gruffalo family 👵🏻 we know this will become another classic adored and enjoyed by children (and adults!) 😍

Well - what a FABULOUS evening that was!!! was absolutely brilliant 🤩
We celebrated his book “Gio - Taking the Lead” with great conversation, lots of laughter and some very interesting questions!
Hosted by in the stunning Spanish Hall our audience thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Gio signed lots of books with a smile (and hug) for everyone. He kindly signed extra copies and they’re in the shop now!! It’s a cracking read 📕 written with humour and candour. You’ll love it!!

You’ll need to be available to work Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:45am - 6:00pm. We have two positions - one is three shifts, the other is two. This is an all year position so is not suitable for students.

We require two people who are flexible, customer focused with a positive can-do attitude and who can think on their feet. This is hard work and we work hard!!
