Another first for Pete and Nigel on the Epynt ranges over the weekend with their first time rallying in Wales and the first time over the ranges.

With the car deciding before the event that 3 cylinders was plenty the blood pressure was high before we'd even set off from the workshop but crisis solved and the neighbours upset we set off down to see what we could do

Sunshine started off on the Saturday which then turned to rain for the Sunday morning stages. Hats off to Pete and Nigel though because the result speaks for itself on this very tricky event.

30th overall and 3rd in class for the tri and maximum championship points to boot we definitely cant complain 🥳🥳🥳

Back on the ranges but our way this coming weekend with the mighty Micra so back to the workshop and crack on 💪👊

Catching up on the posts as it's been a little chaotic recently so we've a few to go through.

First of all Mark and Graham's first bash at a targa rally and where better to dip in your toes at the event 2 minutes down the road from the workshop. Showing you don't need all the money in the world to enjoy motorsport. Basically safety mods and a sump guard is all she had and the plucky little 1400 MG held strong and not only finished but the trio collected 3rd in class as well.

Unfortunately the next update isn't the best but it could have been a lot worse

Manx rally report and unfortunately it's a rally of what if's. Safe to say jobs wise I was against it getting the cars ready for this one but a good few late nights in the shed and both cars were loaded onto the boat ready to take on the stages.

Shakedown stages on the Thursday didn't go to plan with the pug losing brakes after a stone got flicked up and took out a rear brake line and the Honda with a soft limiter at 7k. Both issues sorted and the cars ready for the Friday stages.

Both cars settling back in nicely with the Honda sitting in the top 20's overall and the Peugeot not far behind overall but then things went downhill. The Honda unfortunately decided it wasn't happy throwing the fueling all over the place and with the new engine build before the event the decision was taken to retire the crew to save the car. At the same time the Peugeot decided for the alternator to have a fit and die on stage 4 giving Pete and Nigel a stage maximum. Pug fixed and sent back out and the lads were on a mission setting the 32nd overall stage time and quickest in class.

Hats off to Pete and Nigel setting times in the top 3 for the rest of the rally showing that this little car is definitely going the right way. Rory and Paul unfortunately didn't get back out but showed they've definitely not lost anything in the time out of the car.

Massive thank you to everyone that helped out not only getting the cars ready for the event but on the event with both cars coming in at the same time with problems.

Time to get on ready for the next one and fingers crossed we get back to winning ways.

Also big thanks to for the photos

First round of the Track Day Trophy and Track day Championship ticked off down at Snetterton. A few hiccups on the way down turned a 4 hour drive into 9 hour drive but that's the M6 for you 🤣

Well done to Wayne for getting the hammer down in both the categories bearing in mind she's well underpowered for the class. The Championship race they managed 10th overall and 4th in class being pipped on the last few laps losing 3rd but the Trophy class 4th overall and first in class by a good 30+ second margin shows the little Celica can hold her own against the competition.

Looking forward to the season ahead working with and everyone involved. Roll on Silverstone next 🤙

The flying baguette lives, breathes and doesn't half go well now. After nearly a year away with near enough a full overhaul with everything from the engine to the interior she's back out on the stages and it didn't disappoint.

Round one of the Protyre Tarmac Championship kicked us off at the East Riding Stages over in Beverley. A few settling in issues on the first couple of stages on the Saturday evening but Pete and Nigel bounced back and started moving up the leaderboard.

Saturday was a difficult one with weather conditions not being the best so the safer option of tyres went on her and slow but surely heading the right way saw the team finish the event with 61st overall and 4th in the 1600 class.

Absolutely over the moon for Pete and Nigel after the long stint out the car and a massive thank you to everyone who's had a hand in not only getting the car running right but back out on the stages. Rob at Clubman Motorsport, SWR, Northampton Motorsport for the mapping and giving me a hand down in the shed 👍 Roll on the Manx now and we're going to be busy for this one

The Capri was back and not too happy this time. Almost self combusting itself going up the motorway she needed a little TLC. Some very horrible noises coming from the back I thought the diff bearings had gone and after hearing what these are like setting up thankfully the owner purchased a replacement back axle.

Now I know why people loved these cars. She's an absolute treat to work on with everything coming off you wouldn't think she's 40 years old this year.

Back on the move and even set the spots up for some lanes bashing around Lancashire 🤣 massive thank you to Callum for letting me use the lift for the evening. As fun as it would have been to do it on the floor the weather had other ideas.

The lead up to Christmas we've had this very very nice Fiesta ST in and not to be confused with a standard St150 version it's the MR200 😮 how the fiesta should have come out the factory.

Replacement rear main seal, lightweight flywheel, clutch assembly, gearbox mount and clutch line. A few issues on instillation but she's back on the road and now back over with the owner in Guernsey 💪

We've also got the engine back in the EG so updates from that coming soon.

Road cars, race cars, rally cars and everything in between for tlc down at KWMS.
New shed coming soon as soon as we've got the keys and more work coming up for you soon.

Lagging behind on the posts so bare with me. Unfortunately Grizedale stages didn't go to plan with the Proton grinding to a halt on the road section to the first time control but don't worry the yellow peril is all fixed with the issues and is getting swapped back to tarmac spec for the Roxy stages in-between Christmas and New Year.

Onto this gem going back to when cars had character and this MK3 Capri. Unfortunately the clutch completely polished itself but a quick swap over and de-glaze of the flywheel, this stunning yoke is ready for the roads of Lancashire once again. Looking forward to breathing so spicy upgrades to this coming up 😍😍
