The end of August has been tinged with sadness at SO Plants, as we lost ‘our Joe’ - our beloved friend and colleague.
Joe became an invaluable member of the SO Plants team during Covid, when together with his wife Sharon they came to the rescue when I was struggling to cope. They became the SO Plants contactless delivery team, many of you will remember them delivering to you when you couldn’t get out. Nothing was too much trouble to them, and they were an absolute credit to us all.
Since then, Joe has been irreplaceable and has been my go-to for DIY, problem solving and fixing anything. There hasn’t been a job he wouldn’t tackle; everything became a ‘Joe Job’ because he would always know how to fix it. I know from Sharon he would often go home and think about things to help late into the night.
We all thought the absolute world of him, and I know he felt the same. We loved his quiet, gentle determination and thoughtfulness. Joe and Sharon are like family to me and all the team. No one will ever replace him, I feel honoured to have known him and will miss him dearly as will we all. Thank you for everything Joe.

SO Plants will be closed on the 10th of September as our team attend Joe’s funeral. Thank you for your understanding.
