Is there anything better than a car boot full of plants? 🍀Some of our plants will be heading to Chorley Flower Show at the end of July with the amazing Rosemary and Time. We can't wait to see the garden they've been planning, wishing the team the best of luck!

Our application for this year’s Chorley Flower Show has been accepted and we’ll be creating one of the fabulous community gardens! 🌺

This is definitely Donna’s happy place – doing what she does best and bringing her ideas to life.
Me? I’ll be the labourer, make the brews and maybe singing to the plants… whether they’ll appreciate it is another matter! 😂🎶

We’ve already got started with our first trip to the wonderful SO Plants Country Garden Store yesterday to pick up some of the first plants for our display. 🌱

This year’s theme is Hollywood Movies, so we’ve got lots of planning, growing and creating ahead of us.

Getting the garden started! 🌿

I’m so impressed with our new range of ‘starter perennials’. They’re a great way to start a new garden (which can be so daunting!) or to fill in empty spots in an established border.

My favourites have to be Geum ‘Cocktail Cosmopolitan’ and Geranium ‘Dreamland’. Pop in to check out the full range!

Here’s how to steal our scheme! ⬇️

This week I got a little bit creative and put together this colour palette perfect for a sunny, free draining spot.

And the best part is, most of these plants have yet to flower! Plant them up now and you’ll enjoy their full flowering season in your garden!

Our showstoppers are Geum ‘Cocktail Cosmopolitan’, Achillea ‘Apricot Delight’ and Kniphofia. These are going to bring fantastic colour to the border.

Between these, I’ve picked a variety of ornamental grasses. These will help the colour of your perennials pop and add brilliant movement.

Finally, I’ve picked three of our alpines - they’re currently 3 for £12 and make great space fillers. I’ve chosen Prunella, Armenia and Helianthemum which will add pops of colour at the front of the border.

So, how did I do? I love love love pink and oranges together - it’s just such a fun mix. Let us know if there’s any colours or planting positions that you’d like a little inspiration for!

We’ve been busy giving back to our community this week 🐝

This week we’ve been planting up some of the local planters that we all pass every day. It’s our way of giving back to the fantastic community that supports us!
