Sometimes the great British weather causes havoc and yesterday it did just that! It poured down for most of the morning, making a trip to the park for an outdoor music festival a bit of a non-starter. Footfall wasn’t great, but at least we were sheltered from the rain. The poor 60s Festival organisers took the full brunt being located in the field next to the museum. I have to say, our traders were in good spirits considering, with some making a few good sales, so the day wasn’t a complete disaster!

Next up, we’re very excited to be launching something new to So Retro Events - our So Crafty Artisan Markets! Our first one is at Stalybridge Civic Hall on Sat 26th Sept and we’ve got an amazing selection of traders line up! Hope to see you there!

Shoppers and visitors can enjoy a new artisan event with a creative twist at Stalybridge Victoria Market Hall as part of its new programme of activities.

So Retro Events, working with Tameside Council, is bringing its brand new So Crafty Markets to the town on the last Saturday of September and November, when visitors are invited to browse a carefully designed selection of handmade crafts, unique art, food, drink, and much more.

The events promise a fantastic day out for all the family, with face painting and children's craft activities also taking place throughout the day.

Stalls will feature a wide range of unique products, including handmade earrings, artwork, cakes, handbags, purses and much more.

The markets will take place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 26 September and Saturday 29 November.

HANDMADE jewellery, artwork, cakes and crafts will take over Stalybridge Victoria Market Hall as a brand-new artisan market launches in the town.

The first So Crafty Market will arrive at the hall in Armentieres Square on Saturday, September 26.

It will bring together independent makers, bakers and creative businesses for a day of shopping and entertainment.
