How do you come up with the characters in your book?
Most of the time the characters come out of nowhere, but I usually start off with the names of the characters then develop them from there. Sometimes the characters are loosely based on people I’ve seen or met, and other times I just think them up

What inspires you to write?
I hope to create a story that somebody will enjoy one day and I hope to inspire other people to be creative and write.

She did it! Rebekah finished writing The Clockmaker last week. Rebekah was surprised by the ending. She had planned several possible endings, but when it came to actually finishing her book a different ending just felt right.

I seem to recall several conversations with Rebekah last winter, when she was confident her latest book would consist of twelve chapters. Things changed when Lockdown arrived and Rebekah was able to dedicate more time to writing. Throughout Lockdown she wrote and wrote and wrote. Late last night, I heard a little squeal of delight as Rebekah completed chapter 19! I remember how excited Rebekah was when she wrote 20,000 words. At the moment, she is on the verge of hitting 40,000 words! She feels that she is getting close to the end of The Clockmaker, but the words still keep ‘coming out of her pen’ and she is excited to see how her book will end. She has also admitted she feels a little sad about finishing it, as she has enjoyed seeing the journey through the eyes of the characters in her book.
