This is my first generation servo calibration tool. Still situated on breadboards for easy updating, it is used to fine tune the positions of each of the servos used within the model.

There can be up to 17 servos in a single model. Each one needs a mnimum and maximum position, some also need a centre position. This gizmo allow me to find those values during the construction of the model.

Once those values are known, they are coded into the models firmware and stop the model from damaging itself.

This is the most complex of the home made tools that I use in the construction of each unit, and will in the future be made into a more permanant assembly.

To answer some questions on the subject of cost. The cost will vary depending on requirements, They will start from £100 for a static model on a plinth to £550 for a fully functuioning model in a case with lighting and controller.

As for lighting, the standard is to have ambient light reactive system. This detects the light level in the room and decides if the lighting should be red or white. The level that the change occours is selectable. The brightness of each is also
Although not currently an option I am thinking about making it possible to select any colour you wish.
