A fantastic evening in Cambridge! 🥂

Last night, members of the DHH team had the pleasure of attending the East Anglian Timber Trade Association Annual Dinner.

A brilliant evening at a fantastic venue, with great food, excellent company and plenty of opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues from across the timber trade.

Events like these are always a highlight in the industry calendar, bringing everyone together away from the day-to-day.

Thank you to EATTA for hosting another memorable evening – we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🍷

🏆 In case you haven’t heard… (we may have mentioned it once or twice!)

Last week was a brilliant one for DHH Panel Products, as we came away from the Timber Trades Journal (TTJ) Awards 2026 with not one, but two awards! 🎉

🏆 Panels Trader of the Year 2026 for DHH Panel Products
🏆 Career Development Award – Under 25 for our very own Amelia Matthews (Née Hollington)

We’re incredibly proud of both achievements. They reflect the hard work of the whole DHH team, as well as the continued support of our customers and suppliers.

What a Friday! 🏆🎉

Last Friday was a brilliant afternoon for DHH at the TTJ Awards, where we were proud to be named Panels Trader of the Year 2026!

A huge thank you to all of our customers who voted for us, and to the whole DHH team for their continued hard work and support. 💙

It was also a fantastic afternoon for Amelia Matthews, who received the Career Development Award (Under 25) in recognition of her work across sustainability, compliance, social media and product marketing. 🏆

We’ve achieved a lot over the past few years, and it’s great to see the progress we’re making being recognised by our customers and across the industry.

A great evening at the Plywood Club of London last night! 👏

Our MD, Ben Francis, gave a talk on “The Changing Faces of Birch Plywood”, looking at the ongoing issues surrounding suspicious origin birch plywood and the challenges this presents for our industry. 🌳

There was a great turnout and some really engaging discussion, with plenty of comments from the room.

Thanks to the Plywood Club of London for having us! 🙌

Yesterday, some of the DHH team headed off to TDUK’s Timber Regulations & Compliance Day 🌳📚

A really useful day covering the latest updates on timber regulations, responsible sourcing and compliance, with plenty of interesting discussions along the way.

With regulations constantly changing, keeping up to date is a big part of what we do at DHH. Always good to get out, learn something new and catch up with others in the industry too! 👏

🔥 Fire Extinguisher Training at DHH & Decor

Today, members of the DHH Panel Products and Decor Solutions teams took part in practical fire extinguisher training, learning how to safely and effectively use different types of extinguishers in the event of an emergency.

A useful hands-on session and an important part of making sure our team has the knowledge and confidence to respond safely should the need ever arise.

A big thank you to everyone involved in today’s training! 🔥🧯

❌ Myth Monday: BS 1088 = Structural?

Not quite.

BS 1088 sets requirements for marine plywood, but a BS 1088 claim alone doesn’t mean a panel is suitable for structural applications.

If structural performance is required, you need to check the panel’s separate structural classification and supporting documentation.

Marine doesn’t automatically mean structural. Always check the specification before choosing your plywood. 👀

To help us complete our annual stock take, all yard operations will be suspended on Thursday 27th August and Friday 28th August.

Please note:
📦 No collections on either day
🚛 No deliveries on Friday 28th August
✅ Limited pre booked deliveries will operate on Thursday 27th August only

If you have any urgent requirements before the stock take, or for the week following, please place your orders by Tuesday 25th August to give us time to process them.

We expect normal service to resume after the August Bank Holiday.
