I was thinking it is time to tell about myself a bit using a copy paste from my interview ☺️
Here is my interview: https://blog.folksy.com/2025/01/01/meet-yuliya-miller
👋Hi, my name is Yuliya and I’m originally from Belarus. For many years of my life I travelled, working for Cruise Lines, where I met my English husband. For the last five years, I’ve been based in Manchester – the rainiest, windiest part of UK. What I was thinking?! After I moved, we all got locked in because of Covid. I reckon many small businesses were born then. I was also expecting a baby.
I think the best way to introduce myself is just to tell you random things I love…
🍒Walking bare foot, the smell of freshly cut grass, touching tree trunks, leaves, playing with sand, black coffee (no milk, no sugar), pistachio ice cream, silly detective shows like ‘Midsomer Murders’, vintage and charity shops, airports (watching people meeting and saying “bye”), reading (psychology lately), the theatre, music, dance, especially belly dancing, travelling and coming back, beauty in everything, and cuddles, especially with my daughter.
💕I hope you can tell from that that I love life itself. That’s what I’m trying into put into my work – the belief that all my pieces will end up in beautiful houses surrounding by loving and loved people.
🍒And I love crochet. it’s a very meditative process. I like to see how loop by loop, row by row, the yarn turns into something. I think crocheted décor brings that cosy, home, cuddle-like look and feeling to any interior.
DO YOU WANT A CUDDLE?☺️
