I never got round to sharing the finished pet portraits I completed over Christmas last year or the ones from earlier this year ... Here's a lovely little duo that was ordered as a Christmas gift for some special friends.

Created from two separate photographs (so you don't need to worry about trying to get them to pose together) the painting captures these two furry friends.

I've been told that the recipient loved it and was over the moon 🌙

Two months ago we welcomed our little one into the world! We're still deep in the newborn trenches but loving every minute of it 🥰

I actually managed to sit down and paint for a few hours on Saturday whilst the boys went for a walk and it was so nice to pick up my brushes again.

Whilst markets etc are a loooong way off, I'm just about functioning enough to be able to ship any online orders promptly and I'm still running a huge sale over on my website so pop over and have a look to see what bargains you can find. Eg. Mugs were £11 now £6.60! 💸

So I've been working on my biggest creation to date for the last 9 months ... And it's almost finished 👶

This is why you haven't seen me at markets this year (and probably won't for the rest of this year) and why I've been a little quiet on the socials. Growing a human is exhausting.

I've been painting a few pet portraits in the background which I am looking forward to sharing soon but for now order books are closed until further notice. Hopefully I'll be able to offer a few spaces for Christmas but let's see how this motherhood thing goes first!

I've had some big discounts on my website for the last few months whilst I try to clear some room in our house for the endless boxes of nappies. You can still grab some bargains if you're quick.

Little Pluto was such a pleasure to paint 😍 this was a memorial portrait which is always extra special (and daunting) to create.

I'm sure this illustration will be treasured by the owners for years to come!

Another couple of work in progress shots of a double portrait I completed before Christmas. 🐶🐱

Both taken from separate photos but combined into one painting of their fur babies together!

As always I started the pieces with a sketch, then layered up the watercolour to add depth and warmth and finally finishing off with an ink pen for those little details 🖊️

Can't wait to share the finished piece!
