To Mary Stone ~

I would like to bring to your attention the Facebook post, and subsequent amended post, made by your relative, which has caused me considerable disappointment and upset.

As you know, the original enquiry and provisional order for the Women’s Institute 95th anniversary changed significantly, from approximately 20 table displays and one bespoke balloon to a new order of just two bespoke orb balloons. As a result, I made the business decision to release the allocated production slot and prioritise other confirmed work should the provisional booking not proceed which you cancelled.
This was a reasonable commercial decision based on the revised requirements and availability.

I therefore found the public criticism of my business particularly disappointing. If your relative wishes to make negative comments about my business publicly, I believe it would only be fair for the full circumstances to be explained, including that the original order was substantially reduced and that the revised request could not be accommodated after the allocated slot had been released due to the cancellation of a large order.

Small businesses depend on their reputation, and I always endeavour to deal with customers professionally and courteously. I hope you can understand why I found the comments unfair and upsetting.

Helium balloons must never be inhaled and should always be supervised by a responsible adult.
