We have been given a large amount of sea angling magazines by Simon that he didn’t want to just throw out, we’ve seen a few collections over the years including my own that I gave away years ago but this is probably the most impressive collection we’ve seen, if anyone enjoys looking through them and would like some just ask when you’re next in the shop. 🎣🌊

My dad and myself decided to hit Hythe over low water even after hearing that the nets were out and it wasn’t fishing great. Arriving and having the beach to ourselves only seem to confirm this. Baits were stripped within minutes but we did manage a few small bits, pouts and dogs. I decided to get the second rod out and set it up with a live bait which produced a brilliant take resulting in a nice 55cm bass which went home for dinner. Interestingly it was full of small common and spider crabs (since confirmed masked crab). Must be thousands of them out there given how quickly the baits were being stripped. 🎣🌊🦀
