Ai***ft Defence — Your Questions Answered
We've been getting a lot of the same questions lately, so we wanted to take a moment to answer them all in one place. Here's everything you need to know:
How much does it cost to join, and what do I get for my money?
Membership is just £25 for a full 12 months. Here's what that covers:
Ai***ft Defence coverage for 12 months from the date of payment Access to a system that tracks your gamesite history, so it's always there when you need it and ready to support your defence going forward. As the network grows — with more sites joining every day — your coverage and benefits grow with it.
Access to a marketplace where you can buy and sell used/secondhand items. Built-in player verification checks within the system, giving you peace of mind that you've carried out the necessary due diligence when selling RIFs
Where does my £25 go?
Your membership fee is split to directly support the ai***ft industry:
£10 goes to the gamesite that validates your information
£15 goes into the War Chest — a fund being built up to protect the ai***ft community should anything ever threaten the sport as we know it. This includes funding barristers to defend the community if it's ever needed. Running costs are covered from this pot, and further down the line we'll be offering grants to sites, teams, and stores to help strengthen the industry for everyone.

How do I use my Defence?
Using your Ai***ft Defence couldn't be simpler. There are two ways to access it:
Directly via the website at www.ai***ft-defence.co.uk
Via the Ai***ft Defence app — available on both Apple and Android, dropping in the next few weeks
At a gamesite: When you arrive to play, simply scan the QR code at the site when you book in. This automatically logs your visit and keeps your gamesite history up to date — building your defence record over time.
In a store: Just present your membership number or QR code — either from the website or the app — and that's it. Your individual purchases aren't tracked, but the store will have a record that they checked your Defence, which supports their sale and keeps everything above board for both parties.
It really is that straightforward — scan, play, and stay protected.
When does my Defence become fully activated?
Your journey to full activation works in stages, so here's exactly what to expect:
Straight away — you can register and start checking in at sites immediately, no waiting around
After payment — access to the secondhand marketplace unlocks once your payment has been made
Fully validated membership — your Defence becomes fully active once all three of the following have been met:
✅ Your information has been validated by a participating site
✅ Your payment has been made
✅ You have completed a minimum of 3 games, with at least 59 days having passed since your first game
Think of it as the system getting to know you as a genuine, active member of the ai***ft community — it's designed to ensure the Defence means something and carries real weight when you need it most.
