On International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on the women behind fashion.

Women make up between 60% and 80% of the fashion manufacturing workforce worldwide

Our recent report Who Pays? shows that when brands use unfair purchasing practices it leads to workers facing insecurity, reduced bargaining power, and increased vulnerability at work - and it’s women who often bear the brunt here in the UK.

A fair fashion system isn’t just about clothes - it’s about justice for the women who make them.
