How about being naughty and nice? Slip into a cheeky festive moment amid the chaos — relax, unwind, and treat yourself. Maybe a chocolate-orange hot choc with a slice of zingy ginger cake, or a cheeky Baileys hot chocolate to warm the soul, with a little nibble of gingerbread on the side.

Guess who’s 5 today 🥳 i- that’s right us!!!! Five whole years of The Collective - I can hardly believe it (though I’ve the grey hairs and wrinkles to prove it)

We opened our doors — well, not fully, as it turned out — on the 4th of June 2020. We were delayed for lots of reasons and then wham!, Covid hit. We couldn’t even get the coffee machine installed due to the restrictions. Eventually, we opened for takeaway and entered a wild first two years of letting people in, not letting them in, letting them in but with a metres distance between them, screens in place, booking systems, endless staff sickness, and general fear and madness.

But we survived. And lockdown wasn’t all bad — takeaway was easy, and we often had queues down the street with people on their daily walks which really got us noticed. We got so many thank-yous for keeping people sane during those hard times — especially those living alone, and definitely the ones homeschooling three kids (I was happy to come to work!). I like to think someone was out there banging a saucepan lid just for us 🤣.

That feels like a lifetime ago — and here we are, all grown up and turning five, with the best team we’ve ever had (hands down!), the best suppliers and of course the best regulars a little shop could wish for - here’s to many more years and fabulous times ahead. Thanks always for your amazing support & good humour, love Sam ###### 💗💗💗💗💗 ❤️🎂
