As GK Home Support Services continues to grow, I’m looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable self-employed individual to join me in supporting people across our local community.

Working alongside the council, we provide practical home support that helps people remain independent in their own homes. From companionship and decluttering to shopping, domestic assistance and everyday support, every visit has the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life.

I’m looking for someone who:
💚 Is kind, patient and trustworthy
💚 Has a caring and compassionate nature
💚 Enjoys helping others
💚 Is reliable and professional
💚 Is happy to work on a self-employed basis
💚 Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle

Experience in care, cleaning, support work or customer service is welcomed, but the right personality and values are just as important. You’ll have my full support and access to training alongside me 💖

Another day, another item found 😍

I can’t get over my new little series I’ve decided to create 😂

Like what do you mean this first aid kit that hasn’t been used is dated back to the 1970’s maybe even older??

Maybe I’m more interested in history than I thought 🤣 stay tuned I’ve got a lot more where this came from 💓

Another day another gem found that’s supposedly 30-35 years old 💚

I love finding old packagings when I’m helping clients to declutter their homes especially when I don’t recognise the style or the packaging!

Its a real wow moment and I feel like I’ve got a part of history in my hands that if my client didn’t accept my support I never would have seen or found!

It may only be a mint tin to you? But to me, it’s something that existed before I was even born. A reminder of perhaps how many years my client has been suffering without support and how much I know I can refresh their homes and in turn refresh their minds 💞

I am ending the week on an absolute high 😍

I know I’ve been quiet over here (I’m sorry 🙈)

But boy have I been busy behind the scenes!

Thank you so much to every client, social worker & housing teams that has contacted me to get support for individuals that need my support in the local area 💞

I have helped my clients accomplish so much this week, I had a testimonial this morning from a fellow paperwork organisation and decluttering service and it brought a tear to my eye 😭

I know in this moment of time, this is exactly where I should be, in the heart of our community really making a different 💖

Lately I’ve been helping an elderly gentleman declutter his cupboards

and look what we came across these unopened Sainsbury’s sponges from the late 1970s/early 1980s!

It made us both smile, and of course we had to find out just how old they really were 🕵️

He explained to me that these cleaning sponges and the products we found along with them belonged to his mum💞

To you, it may look like falling apart, 50 decade old sponges but to my client these held memories, memories of his mother, of his life and of his childhood 🥰

This is why when you are helping somebody to declutter you work alongside with them, learning about them, understanding them

Decluttering isn’t about throwing everything away. It’s about taking the time to sort through years of memories, as well as creating a home that’s easier and safer.

Sometimes it’s practical support
Sometimes it’s a trip down memory lane
Most of the time, it’s a little bit of both 💗
