📣 Make & Mend Marketplace Traders! 📣

Welcome, welcome to the first wee shout out for the lovely traders joining us in the Makers Marketplace at this year’s Festival at Kirkleatham Walled Garden on Sunday 28 June. I for one am excited, and will be sharing a few of our traders at a time over the next few weeks.

Makers Marketplace applications close next Friday!
There’s just one week left to apply to join a gorgeous bunch of traders at the Make & Mend Festival at Kirkleatham Walled Garden on 28 June.

We’re looking for a range of products, from craft kits and notions, to prints, ceramics, preserves, soaps and more.

What are we all enjoying buying from independent makers these days? What do you love shopping for at markets and craft fairs?

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely adore an indie makers market. Buzzing with colour and creativity, tempting me to part with my cash in support of someone’s hard work and putting food on their table, and keeping their craft alive. Gorgeous. And there’s always an unplanned purchase waiting to happen!

Especially with this year’s market also being open to the public for the first time, I’d love to hear what sort of things you enjoy shopping for - I want to make my first market a good un!! Let me know 👇🏼

🎨 Update 🧶
Make & Mend Market Trader Applications!

For those who want to get straight to the juicy bit - applications will be open from 7am on Monday 2 March until 7pm on Friday 3 April. We will make sure links are added to socials, and I’ll be sure to remind you regularly as the deadline approaches.

As you know, we’ve a gorgeous new venue for Make & Mend this year, so there are a couple of notable changes. The first is that the market will be open only on Sunday 28 June this year, BUT with the added bonus of being accessible to both festival goers AND the public, so we’re hoping draw an even bigger crowd for you all.

The other change is that I’ll be taking over from , and I’ll be your point of contact for all things market. I’ve traded at the market myself, and have run drop in workshops the past couple of years, so I absolutely adore this event and know it well.

The market stall set up will be as per previous years, and we’re holding tight with our pitch fees, too.

We’re looking for traders of all sorts of gorgeous goodies, and I for one cannot wait to look through your applications in the coming weeks.
