Connevans Limited is a specialist supplier of equipment for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. We are an independent family run company established more than 60 years ago in November 1961 and derive our name from the original founders, Meurig & Connie Evans. Connevans is still very much a family firm and is now run by his son, daughter & granddaughter, David Evans, Mary Cann and Laura Evans Beynon, together with their co-directors John Popplestone, Phil Boswell and Gareth Pont. The Company employs approximately 30 people and our Merstham complex, which houses all activities from product appraisal to despatch, allows us to respond to all our customers' requirements efficiently and effectively. Connevans specialises in meeting the needs of people who are deaf or hard of hearing and we have developed a reputation for supplying quality products. By continually listening to the needs of the deaf community we are able to identify areas for product development to add to our catalogue and websites. Since our business began, we have worked together with Education Professionals to help students hear more effectively in school. A current example is the design and manufacture of an extensive range of Soundfield systems for Classrooms and Halls. To support our excellent product range, we are committed to providing a high quality level of service from initial enquiry through to after sales care. Our policy of direct involvement of the directors to answer customer questions, and the dedication of the staff team, ensures the highest possible quality of response. Turns out Harrison had a few gaming hacks left to unlock 👀

When Harrison visited us, we asked if there were any particular listening situations where he could use a bit of extra help.

Gaming with his friends was top of the list. His mum had noticed that he sometimes struggled to hear everything going on in the game, as well as conversations with his friends.

So our tech-whizz Liz showed him a couple of tricks he didn't know about!

His Roger microphone can connect directly to his PS5 controller, helping him hear his friends' voiced - and even things like his own footsteps in the game - much more clearly.

Liz also explained how he can turn down the background volume settings, making important sound effects like footsteps easier to pick out.

Judging by his reaction... we think he might approve!

Sometimes it's not about changing the technology - it's about knowing how to get the most out of what you already have.

How easy is it to connect your hearing aids to your phone?

In this follow-up to David’s everyday hearing aid tech video, he shows just how simple it is to connect his Signia Stretta AYA hearing aids directly to his mobile using Bluetooth.

Once connected, he can stream audio straight to his hearing aids, making calls and listening to content on his phone much more convenient.

Of course, Bluetooth compatibility varies between hearing aids and phones, so what works for David might not work for everyone.

We had such a great time welcoming .harrison and his mum to our HQ last week! 💙

It was lovely to spend some time with them, answer their questions and show them how we work.

The Phonak Roger 20 featured in Harrison's unboxing is an integrated receiver for Cochlear Nucleus 7 and Nucleus 8 sound processors. When used with a Roger microphone, it sends the speaker's voice directly to the sound processor, helping make speech clearer - particularly in noisy environments or over distance.

And yes... we gave Harrison's video the extra special Connevans edit treatment 🎬 we hope you like it! 🤭

While it might seem harmless, tissues can do more damage over time than you'd think.

Instead, try using a soft hearing aid cleansing wipe or cloth for the job. They're gentle, effective and help keep your devices performing at their best.
