A pretty horrific crack in this gorgeous Grandmother clock. I was able to glue, clamp, fill and colour the worst of it.
It came out looking pretty good 💪🏻

I usually only accept actual money for jobs. This time however I repaired a section of rotten decking in exchange for a signed Flash Gordon poster.

Nature did the artwork for me in this instance. ☀️
Ambrosia Maple gets its unique streaks and patterns from tiny ambrosia beetles, which carry a fungus into the wood as they tunnel through it.
They've made this brilliant sun pattern across the tabletop!

I'm going to make a coffee table from this. D.M me if you're interested in owning the finished article.

Panelling! I was actually persuaded to do two things on this job that I usually refuse. Lay laminate flooring, and painting!
Turned out well, despite the usual wonky walls.

I've acquired a VERY chunky and bizarre piece of Bolivian Rosewood. I'm being a little indecisive as to what to make with it.
Coffee table? Statement Clock! Maybe a ceiling light?
Any ideas? 🪚

Finally got round to making myself a workshop mallet I’ve been meaning to build one for ages.

The head is made from a single piece of Ziricote. It has a beautiful feathered grain, and a Janka hardness of around 1,970 lbf, so it’s nearly twice as hard as oak.

I had an offcut of Turkish walnut for the handle that complements well.

Gorgeous. Solid. Slightly overbuilt whacker. Exactly how it should be. 🔨
