In a hugely unusual move (as I’m literally always making lampshades for my clients!), this beautiful ‘Fucshia’ linen from Colefax and Fowler was used to make a bespoke shade … for myself! I’m delighted with the strong dark reds and greens that it brings my living room. Handsewn to a gorgeous 16” base oval frame that offers the width that this lamp demands of a shade, whilst taking up less room on a side table.

Find a fabric you love; it might be the perfect colour, the perfect texture, much loved leftover textiles. Send it to me, or I can order it for you directly, and l can turn it into a beautifully handsewn lampshade to your design in as little as 3 weeks. The joy is in knowing you just won’t see another like it. And it was made especially for your home. My lampshades are all handsewn by me here in Surrey, packaged and boxed with care, and are sent out all over the world.

This beautiful embroidered cotton linen is Silene from Harlequin in the Sky/First Light colourway. Isn’t it special. A slightly heavier weight gives a more structured look to the lampshade. This one is for an existing table lamp, but with a versatile 14” base would also make a great, show-stopping pendant. 🩵

I’ve so enjoyed working with this gorgeous rust-blush, wide stripe. An Indian cotton with the subtlest of chintzy sheens to it. Beautifully luminous & handsewn on the warp so that the stripes can really sing when pleated 🧡🩷. Pleat lined in cream cotton.

A delicious combination of w**e coloured florals, curves and ribbons, ‘Greuze’ is one of my absolute faves. The chalky powder blue is just beautiful. I work hard with my sewing to pattern match where I can. This design really tests my skills ! 🩵♥️

I’m excited to be thinking fancy trims, fringing and all things lacey & embroidered this Autumn (there! I said the A word!). However, this little handmade petticoat lampshade very firmly is giving all the summer feels, with its wide and vibrant floral embroidery along the bottom edge. I love how the trim gives this shade structure and shape.

You can pick this little cutie up at the very lovely Peach. in Cranleigh 🌷🤍.

This set of 10 taffeta lampshades were handsewn by me for another fabulous, celebratory event designed by .and.oak.events. Truly theatrical in pea green, with a beautiful blue-green fringe, I absolutely love how these colours work together! 💚🩵Shown here (in impactful formation!) at the little studio.
