Now that the old oak has shed a massive branch, I started growing shiitake on logs. Sourced the spawn pack online. All inspired by my Japanese friend. Watering can nearby for a weekly sprinkle.

Just dropped off my wwoof volunteer to help with pond clearance in the village down the road.

Time to harvest Babington leek bulbils. They have taken over the old veggie patch. Got a regular wholesaler in Dorset waiting for them. Nice little profit for a shoebox full.

Spent the morning felting a Christmas stocking for my great grandson. Made one for his mum more than 27 years ago and that one is still very much treasured. Could not wait to take a photo when it was halfway laid out.

Quite interesting to find a site called "Artists 65-99 years old- helping each other"....Today's question was: What memories do you have about the home you grew up in?
I can see that home I grew up in up to the age of 7 just like watching a film, walking up to the house, entering through the porch and going from one room to the other. There are only a few photos that might have helped to get me started.
Anyway, it is all in my book, self published in 2010.
