Christmas has arrived in Ripon!

Our handmade crafty Christmas window. Completely volunteer lead. They've crafted rag wreaths from recycled textiles and flowers from our gardens, bird houses from books and shoe boxes, book trees, decorations knitted and crafted with wood and books. So much of what you see has been handmade with things that would usually have hit our recycle bins. A real team effort to create a truly magical window all priced to sell.

The world is fit to burst with throw away trends. Let's think differently. Recycle, upcycle and create something that is one of a kind and help heal the world a little bit at a time.

PLEASE DO NOT DONATE IN THIS WAY

If our shop is closed then it means we are not accepting donations. Leaving donations on the door creates a health and safety risk for our wonderful volunteers who already do so much for us. We need our volunteers to keep our shop going and unfortunately if they turn up to this every morning they won't come back at all.

Donations on the door are not considered Oxfam property so please spare a thought for the volunteers. We always want to thank you in person so please donate within our opening hours listed below.

Not sure what we accept? If you are unsure then phone ahead and we'll be happy to help. We accept good quality clean clothes, accessories, linen, toys books and music. The better the quality the more you will raise for Oxfam.

We do not take furniture, electrical goods, bikes/safety equipment, duvets or pillows.

Our opening hours are
Monday 9-4
Tuesday 9-5
Wednesday 9-4
Thursday 9-4
Friday 9-5
Saturday 9-5

Again if we are closed do not leave on the door.

Heading into the second half of second hand september.

Did you know that to produce one pair of jeans it requires 16000 bottles of water? Enough to meet the drinking needs of 4750 people.

Due to climate change the world is running short of fresh water. By mixing up our wardrobe with second hand purchases we can reduce production costs and give a life line to those who need it most.
