I am personally so beyond upset to read this article and its outcome. I thought we were to support small independents and encourage business into our local areas. I don’t know the owners but I am a customer here and to compare it to Piccadilly Circus is ludicrous.
It encourages business to other local shops. I recall at the other zebra crossing there used to be a bright turquoise gelato store front and that was permitted but this isn’t my point for sharing. I want to help in some way and put a stop to the council’s decision. I know many others will feel the same. What can we do all?
It will cost that business a small fortune surely to have the shop front changed and in these times when businesses are struggling and we are all feeling the huge financial strain due to the cost of living, this is not how I want to see the council spending their time or resources. They should be investing in business and the local community, not tearing it down.
