📣 SPECIAL GUESTS AT ROMILEY SWEETS & SHAKES TODAY! 📣

We’ve got two very special guests joining us on Market Day today — these two amazing young ladies are from Hurricanes Cheerleading and they’re here to help raise some much-needed funds towards a very special event! 🥳📣

A little over a year ago, this incredible cheerleading team achieved something absolutely amazing — they qualified for a place at a top European cheerleading competition in France! 🇫🇷🏆

But getting the whole team to the championships comes with a pretty big price tag… £10,000! 😮

The girls, their families and supporters have been working incredibly hard to raise the money, and they’ve already managed to raise an amazing £5,500! 👏👏👏

And just look at some of the fundraising they’ve been doing:

📚 One of the girls completed a sponsored reading challenge
🎨 Isabelle has been selling her own handmade crafts at stalls
🛍️ The girls have been attending craft stalls throughout Stockport
🪂 And one of the mums is even preparing to take on a sponsored skydive! 😱🪂

That is some serious dedication! ❤️

They’ve already come so far, but they still have a way to go to reach their £10,000 target.

Get ready to step back in time on Saturday 15 August (from 6:30pm) for another brilliant FREE ’80s & ’90s music night right here in Romiley Precinct.

This time, we’ve got the amazing The Amstrads 80's Band taking us on a musical joyride through the biggest hits of the ’80s and ’90s — so whether you’re more ABBA than Oasis, more Bon Jovi than Blur, or you just want to party like it’s the Spice Girls, this one’s for you!

Expect a night packed with tunes that’ll have you shouting for Queen, dancing like Madonna, singing along with Duran Duran, getting your groove on like Wham!, and maybe even finding your inner Human League, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Culture Club, The Cure, Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, Simply Red, Pulp, INXS, A-ha, Bananarama, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, and Fleetwood Mac.
