The retail nursery also has a very nice cafe called Poppies an ice cream parlour where we make our own ice cream. We have a fantastic range of containers, grow and replant for customers all sorts of hanging baskets, we grow our own bedding and basket plants and a significant amount of perennial plants. We are very reasonable on price and compared to garden centres usually a lot better value. We are not all things to all men, we have a core sundries range in the height of the season but as the propensity for these products wane so do our stocks!!

We are closing the nursery, cafe and crafts from and including Thursday 25th August until Monday 28th August and we will reopen on Tuesday 29th of August. A member of our family is getting married and we are holding the reception here. Sorry if this is inconvenient but now that I have emptied the retail area it really is a great venue!! Thanks for your support this summer, we have been super busy, I’ve kept the glazing and firing going despite a kiln breakdown and we are on track. Open evening dates to be posted shortly. Have a nice bank holiday weekend.

Several customers have mentioned there is a shortage of geraniums ( should have come here first!!). Not here there isnt, still several thousand growing ( several thousand sold ). And at £3 for a litre plant ( 12cm pot ) - half the price of local garden centres they are superb plants at fair prices
