Turns out we’re much better at making Christmas hampers than we are at posing for photos…And if anyone has any tips on how to get a team of people to pose sensibly for a photograph, I’m all ears… 😂

Behind every Carabella hamper is this lovely bunch, a team who have worked incredibly hard to get our Christmas 2026 collection ready.

There’s been A LOT of tasting, sourcing, packing, changing our minds, tasting again (obviously necessary 😉) and making sure this year’s collection is one we’re really proud to put the Carabella name to.

This year has definitely been one of our most challenging... but also one of our most rewarding.
Some of those challenges have been tough, others have been incredibly positive, but every one of them has taught me something. Looking back, I can honestly say I've learnt more this year than I have in a long time, both professionally and personally.
As Carabella continues to grow, we've been investing in new systems and processes that will help us scale. That means the team and I have been knee-deep in learning, adapting and finding better, more efficient ways of working.

The downside? I've found myself spending far more time in the business than on it.
There's always one more email to answer and one more project to finish, and before you know it, weeks have passed without getting out to catch up with clients, partners or fellow business owners.

This week I made a conscious decision to change that.
I've had some great conversations with other business owners and partners, and hearing that others are facing similar challenges is reassuring, but more importantly, those conversations have sparked new ideas and opportunities that you simply don't get sitting at a desk.

It also reminded me of the part of my role that I love most, and dare I say I'm pretty good at, which is listening to people and understanding where they're trying to take their business, what challenges they're facing and then thinking creatively about how we can help, those conversations are why I started Carabella in the first place.

I'm making a promise to myself to do more of that.
After all, systems help a business grow efficiently, but it's people and relationships that make it all worthwhile.

We have decided to be the official PR Manager for January - no abandoned resolutions here, we're not having it. Instead, we want to introduce you to someone who's been quietly making our January mornings a bit brighter - Joe from Joe's Tea Company.

Joe started his tea company in his garden shed in 2012 after a pretty rubbish day at his corporate job. He decided that if tea was going to be part of his daily ritual, it should at least make him smile. So he created blends with names like "Calm Your Beans" and "You Got This" - little moments of encouragement wrapped up in a cuppa.

What we love about including Joe's teas in our hampers isn't just that they taste brilliant (though they do). It's that every box comes with this tiny reminder that someone, somewhere, started something new when things felt tough. And look where it got him.

We reckon that's a pretty good antidote to the January blues, actually. Small moments. Good tea. The reminder that January doesn't have to be grim.

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Part Time Finance Administrator to join our friendly team.
If you’re organised, detail driven, and confident using Xero, this could be a great role for you. You’ll play a key part in keeping our finance processes running smoothly while supporting the wider business where needed.
What you’ll be doing:
• Processing invoices and supplier payments using Xero
• Liaising with our outsourced finance company
• Providing general office administration support as required
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in a finance or accounts support role
• Confident user of Xero
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse data
• Experience using a CRM system (or willingness to learn)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
• A proactive team player with a positive, can do attitude
