THE MADE IN ROSS ART QUEST 2026 – DAY 3

The clues are getting harder… or perhaps we’re just getting better at spotting the secrets hidden around Ross-on-Wye!

Today is Day 3 of the Made in Ross Art Quest, and there’s another new pair of cryptic clues waiting to be solved.

Remember, each day brings two clues:
One leads you to a location.
The other leads you to an answer.

You can tackle the clues at your own pace, work together with friends or family, and explore Ross-on-Wye as you go. You never know what you might discover along the way.

And there’s still plenty of time to join in. New clues are released daily until 16 August, and completed entries need to be submitted by 4pm on 20 August.

Entry is completely FREE, with prizes for the highest scorers.

Forms are available online and upstairs at Made in Ross in the Market House.

THE MADE IN ROSS ART QUEST 2026

Fancy a challenge? A treasure hunt around Ross-on-Wye with a difference? Then this could be just the thing for you!

The Made in Ross Art Quest is a week-long cryptic-clue treasure hunt designed to test your lateral thinking, pattern-spotting and puzzle-solving skills — and it’s completely FREE to enter.

New clues are released every day this week, from 10–16 August.

Each day brings a pair of cryptic clues. One clue leads you to a location and the other leads you to an answer.

Solve them at your own pace, explore Ross-on-Wye from a different perspective and see if you can work out the secrets hidden in the clues.

Complete your entry and submit it by 4pm on 20 August 2026. There are prizes for the highest scorers!

Have you looked up lately?

Standing proudly in the heart of Ross-on-Wye for almost 400 years, the magnificent Market House has watched over generations of markets, traders and visitors. Built between 1650 and 1654, this beautiful red sandstone building is one of only four surviving historic market halls in Herefordshire and is proudly Grade II listed.

Many people admire its striking architecture from the Market Place below, but fewer discover what's waiting upstairs.

Today, this remarkable building is home to Made in Ross, a welcoming gallery and gift shop where 14 local artists and makers showcase the results of countless hours of creativity, skill and craftsmanship. From original paintings and ceramics to handcrafted jewellery, textiles, woodcraft, fused glass and unique gifts, every item has been designed and made locally with care and passion.

Before you leave, take a moment to look out through the magnificent oak doors onto the balcony overlooking the Market Place. It's a unique perspective of Ross-on-Wye and a peaceful place to pause, watch the town below and appreciate the history of this iconic building.
