Cloughmor Extreme is a business which has evolved from a love of the spectacular natural surroundings of the Mournes to provide a diverse range of activities to young and old, delivering adventures to foster a community atmosphere. or looked out onto the water and wanted to know what it is like looking back to shore? With a range of different outdoor activities to chose from anything is possible!!! we like to specialize in working with small groups at affordable prices!!!

SUMMER CAMP IS BACK for 2026!!!!

Time to get the kids out for a digital detox!!

Meet new friends, develop social skills, learn new practical skills and try new activities.

*ABOUT THIS YEAR’S CAMPS*
Get the kids into the outdoors for some adventure, experiential learning and the chance to explore, meet new friends and learn new skills! Some of the activities on offer this year are:

- Team games
- Giant Paddle Boarding
- Climbing Wall
- Kids first aid training
- Kayaking
- Orienteering
- Power Boats Rides
- Zip lining
- Archery
- Bushcraft skills
- Crab fishing
- Canoeing
- River adventure walk

*Ages* starting from 7+.

*Location* : All of our camps are run from the lovely safe setting of The Kilbroney centre, 1 forestbrook drive, Rostrevor.

*PRICE/LOCATION*

- The cost of the summer camp is £180pp.

- Bookings of 2 kids £160pp

- Bookings of 3 kids or more £155pp

Or book per day for £45

We are known as the best extreme babysitters in town!!! Places always fill up fast so book now to avoid disappointment!

– Backpack
– lunch & snack

– Rain coat
– Towel and sun cream
– Old shoes and swimwear (NO Crocs or sliders)

Update - road now open

Road Closed

The PSNI have completely closed the A2 Warrenpoint to Rostrevor Rd at Moygannon Court. Severe flooding and now electricity wires have fallen.

You cannot pass the Shore Rd Rostrevor to Warrenpoint.

Cloughmore or Cloghmore (from Irish An Chloch Mhór, meaning 'the big stone').

This huge granite boulder is located on a mountainside almost 1,000 feet (300 m) above the village of Rostrevor, County Down.

The granite boulder, which has a calculated mass of 50 tonnes, is a glacial erratic, thought to have been transported from Scotland (from an island in Strathclyde bay) and deposited about 10,000 years ago by retreating ice during the last Ice Age. It sits on a relatively flat area of Silurian metasedimentary rock.

Local legend tells us that the stone was thrown from the Cooley Mountains, on the other side of Carlingford Lough, by the giant Finn MacCool.
