🌱Scared of overwatering your plant babies?🌿
Have no fear, here's another way you can water!
Pour some water into a container or a bowl and put you plant into the water (as long as it's in a nursery pot with drainage holes)
Leave it in the water for 30 - 60 minutes to make sure it has absorbed everything it needs and you're all done!
Bottom watering your plants offers several benefits:
* Prevents Overwatering: When you bottom water, the plant only absorbs the water it needs through its roots. This minimizes the risk of overwatering, which can lead to root rot and other issues.
* Promotes Healthy Roots: Bottom watering encourages roots to grow deeper into the soil in search of water. This results in a stronger root system that can better support the plant and absorb nutrients.
* Reduces Risk of Disease: By keeping the foliage dry, bottom watering helps prevent the spread of fungal diseases that thrive in moist conditions.
* Conserves Water: Since the plant only absorbs the water it needs, bottom watering can be more water-efficient than traditional top watering.
* Ideal for Certain Plants: Some plants, like African violets and succulents, are particularly sensitive to overwatering and benefit greatly from bottom watering.
Overall, bottom watering is a valuable technique for promoting healthy plant growth and preventing common watering problems.
